The J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development offers high quality leadership programming for leaders at all levels and of all ages. Fanning’s community leadership development programs are designed to strengthen community leadership capacity as local leaders work to address their own community issues.

The Carl Vinson Institute of Government and the Downtown Development Authority, working in partnership with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and the Georgia Municipal Association, offer technical assistance and resources to communities to develop sustainable and prosperous downtowns.

The Marine Extension Service and Georgia Sea Grant work with coastal governments to help communities develop and use land in an economically sustainable way, utilizing the latest technology and scientific information.
